Neils, thanks for those damage commands. I've\we have been having some funny with the damage at 3. That makes it pretty much 2-4 bullets and you're dead. You can kinda tell it in FFA, but Assault is where it's kicking ***.

Pretty much whoever shoots first wins, and I guess that's how it ought be. Though taking a flag with good shooters on defense is pretty wicked as well. No room for error.

Still teh nades blast radius doesn't seem to be enough. I remember there was a realism Mod you could download that seem to double it. It would be most cool, to add damage scale, nade scales and HS scales to godlike SSM

As for the realism, i'd LOVE it if there would be a ladder in clanbase with realistic settings! because they just rule! lets convince those ppl out there!!

As much as i would like to help you out, i cannot find a scriptfunction to request someone's ip and/or guid.. so that might not be possible.. but try changing the ip of one of your servers, as i suggested before. that might help out.

Niels, you understood me correctly.

I understand they are normal settings, I just like them all nice and neat in the GL-SSM. Kinda thinking that maybe with them in the GL_SSM they might get some reconigtion and maybe more people will think about runnig them.

The only think I don't like about the damagescale is it makes Jack an even bigger sissy. Now when I fall from a5ft ledge, I die.

Just curious what if any progress was made on the damage report. I was playing on some other server the other day and it would say "Murdock killed bob with flesh shots". So I guess it's partly doable, but it would be really nice to have a "you were killed by Murdock, you did 66 damage to him"

If I missed this post, please excuse me, but I read through quite a few to see if anyone else commented on this....

I just installed 1.31 patch and GL no longer works. Script errors out upon server load. Anyone else?

I had an issue on one server, but I re-uploaded the scrip6.pak and all is well. I see it working on most other 1.31 servers as well. You might have an issue elsewhere

I'm not aware of any problem with 1.31 and GL. Were running the 3.2 version at our server, and all is well. If your not able to fix the problem, send me your profiles directory, i'll see what the problem is then.

ok neils question,i never really bothered with the change timers for maps but now trying,whenever I run the command gl-assault it still runs maps at regular time will post all the mapcycles and cfg,now I know all are the same till last thats the problem it wont go to 40 stays at 25

Hi slayersofadmin,

Well i tested it here, it seems to work fine. So i was thinking, i might be either:
1. a problem with the 'nonstandard' map (unlikely)
2. did you change to it by voting/sv_changemap or anything else?

For the timer to work, it requires a 'normal' mapcycle, so the map and the timer is read from the file.

Could you test it for me with a mapcycle looking like this :
mp_airstrip Assault 1 12 3 16 0 8
mp_dune Assault 20 10 3 16 0 8

It looks like it defaults to the 'gr_timelimit' set in your config, and that means that is hasn't gotten there by normal mapcycle.

Well, let me know, if there is a problem i will fix it.

By the way, new version will be released maybe this weekend, and definitly next.

Back again,

I tested it with a 'nonstandard' map, and that was NOT the problem, its works fine.

So its either :
1. the map wasn't loaded by normal mapcycle
2. you somehow havent got the latest mod installed (3.2)
3. i haven't got the slightest clue whats wrongSmile

try setting your 'gr_TimeLimit' to 20 or something, and see if it works at all (if all maps do 20, instead of 25). If all use 20, reinstall the scripts6.pak

Oh and Murdock, sorry about the late reply:

About the damage report; that would be a #&^$ load of work, and lately we haven't had alot of spare time.. I thought it would be more useful to do some other stuff, like make it possible to limit the number of snipers, not allow spectators, give both teams full time and so on. See version 3.6, will be released soon. But, take this as a promise, when i got some more spare time i WILL look into itWink

Well when you use rcon sv_changemap, you can use the same syntax as in the mapcycle. For instance, to start mp_depot with 40 min timelimit, you could use \rcon sv_changemap mp_depot 40
(it will use last values for all other settings, so you dont have to enter them all)

Maybe just a crazy thought, but:

Is it possible to create a option like the regnameserv in IRC?

So players that play in a server often can register themselves so no other players can use that nick?
And nicks can be password or IP restricted?

But maybe this is much too much work.
