When i try to start a multiplayer game it says cannot log on to ubi.com or something HELP!!!!

A clan is just a group of gamers/friends, who play an online game together as a team, playing matches (Scrims) against other online teams. they can be just Fun clans, that battle any and all, or those who play in a league/ladder for the thill of being the best team out there!
Clans typically have a server of thier own to play on, and may require payment from members to play on them usually by a donation.

One more thing for you new ones out there. When you get killed you will respawn, but you must left click the mouse before the timer gets to zero on the upper right of the screen. That is the respawn timer. If you miss the click you will have to wait another cycle of the clock before respawn, it happens to the best of us.

PLEASE after the click RELEASE the mouse button!
Nothing pisses off your teammates more than some (nice person) shooting them in the back after respawn.

You may be having trouble due to your international keyboard. Here is a guide DKNY wrote:

Open a text editor like notepad - start-programs-accesories-notepad
Open FarCry enter multiplayer - options and place the cursor in the name field

ALT+TAB to Notepad

enter your name like you want it to look i.e. $4|GF| $3yourname
highlight it using shift-home
press CTRL+C to copy
ALT-TAB to go to FarCry
Make sure you are still in the name field
Press CTRL+V to paste

and VOILA ! new name with color and tags...

i can't join any online match because it says i don't have the right version...

Hi, nice forum with some really god tips for nabs. I have played Farcry for over a year now some of you may see me sometimes as ~~GhosT~~ Travis. Thier really is no end to the small tips that can help you in multiplayer, but by far the most importent thing is to act like you really are jack carver, become the carver - as such you will then have an overwheelming desire to stay alive. Once this hits you you will then find that the best way to do this is to sneak about the maps, in attack and defence useing every little bit of cover you can find, spriting between cover with nife and ducking ect... If your alive you can shoot, and if you can shoot you can kill no matter what little sliver of life you have. Go forth (hopefully not in straight line).

Thanks for those words Mr T, (he was complaining the other day about me being to sneaky - LOL).

I'm a bit of a backshooter, and proud of it. If you play as a grunt and camp in FC, then you will die. Yes, you will get a kill first, but the enemy will quickly hunt you down, so there's not much point in camping. The trick is to stay alive long enough to mess up the enemy and benfit your team. Mr T is right. There is loads of cover, so just move from ambush site to ambush site and keep them guessing. Yes, enemy snipers are a pain when you move about, but use the available cover for protection, and lots of dodge and sprint when there are gaps in that cover.

Many thanks for the great tips! I changed my mouse settings and saw a real difference. After I finish this, I'm gonna start my own mp game and go exporing!
I was burnt on Far Cry due to CD key issues, But after reading posts here I'm gonna keep going with it, but I doubt if I will ever buy another ubisoft/crytek game again though..

Guys i have problems with putting in the name foreign letters
i putting м$4Axp$4A$1γnέ is for the name мAxpAγnέ ( two capital "a" are red ).. But when i did everything right but in the game it showing - <AxpA'n- .. all foreign letters are raplaced with some ****

When it asks me for my CD key, i typ it in and it says it is invalid. The CD key is on the back of the maual, yes? It has a lette in it that looks like a Q but with the line the other way round if you know what i mean. I have the latest patch downloaded.

i would some input on this problem, i just bought farcry.I`ve can play it in single player,but when i try go into mp mode the game freze,i`ve downloaded all the patches still doesn`t work ,i`m getting frusated what can i do to fix the problem.

@Banquo that Q may be a 0 as in numeric zero, make sure you have followed the tips in this thread regarding firewalls

I havent played for nearly a year but recently decided to come back for some fun and it seems I wont be able to. Any word on this?

ATM you need to patch up to 1.33 to play online...
(or check for later patch version)

hmmmm.... I can't wait to play mp again... My laptop is in Micronesia though but I'll be there soon (A month or two). My tag is Captain Caveman. An mp tip eh? Start off with the pistol and stick with it. You're allowed to be a noobie when you don't know what you're doin too so don't worry about the complainers. Don't be afraid to go face to face with someone but remember to always keep moving. That's it I guess. Oh yeah if some guy is aiming at you and always kills you with one shot he might be cheating so get a kick off vote if you're sure he is or just ignore his score and don't worry abaout it.
