I cannot disagree. I would like to see a sequel as well.
But Far Cry for PC is still a great game, its the franchise that you feel has been cheated out of a glorious run.

For those looking for a continued Far Cry experience, I would recommend trying out the several excellent add-on maps for single player.

The Matto series, esp Matto4 has many new gameplay elements including an awesome new weapon or two, new voice acting and companions that fight with you.

Inferno 1-3 is very well done and incorporates new objects and landscapes.

Farmer_Jack depicts a retired Mr Carver now living on a farm invaded by sinister forces.

Madman is a challenging level with several new concepts.
