My system won't be able to run Far Cry. That's all you need to know. Perhaps if I upgrade I'll let you know. If I post my specs I'll feel like an underling.

I just got my third monitor and laptop hooked up and this is how it stands:

My Dual-Dual-Monitor Setup

Main Rig:
AMD Athlon 2700XP+
512MB RAM
ATI Radeon 9500Pro
120GB HD

Laptop, which i just got off my dad because he got a new one:
Intel P3 800
256MB RAM
ATI Rage Mobility 128
10GB HD

Nothing major hardware wise but it looks friggen awsome eheh.

BTW, if you happen to get a setup like mine get Synergy ( http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/ ) it lets you control 2 PC's over a network with just one keyboard and mouse, very handy for me obvisouly.

I'm new to the board, so hello everyone. Can't wait for Far Cry - I've had it preorded since the day that Electronics Boutique recognized its existence. When I preorded it, the clerk hadn't even heard of it yet...

3GHz Pentium 4
800MHz FSB (Hyper-Threading Intel 875P)
1024MB PC3200 400MHz RAM
ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB video card
Windows XP Home
SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Digital sound card
120GB HD (7200RPM)
ViewSonic E220 21" monitor
Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX speakers
Logitech MX500 optical mouse
Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Analog 3 Gamepad

I essentially just got this bad boy a couple of months ago for four reasons: 1) Far Cry, 2) DOOM 3, 3) Half-Life 2, and 4) Deus Ex: Invisible War. Also really looking forward to Jedi Academy, Call of Duty, MoH: Pacific Assualt, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and Max Payne 2.

Interesting to see the changes in technology since Far Cry came out.

I started on P4 3.0, 1 GB, 9800pro
now have Opteron 175, 2 GB, 7900 GT

Since Far Cry launched, several major technologies have gone mainstream, several new CPU architectures and there has been an operating system change. All new sice Far Cry: Sockets LGA 775 and AM2, Dual core and quad core CPUs, PCI-e, SLI, Crossfire, matrix RAID, Windows Vista, Laser optical mouse, <16 ms LCD monitors.
