Why the hell cant Canadians install the free game?

Im guessing the setup tells your country through your ip address or something like that because i had tried logging in to a account with the country set as United states and it still said i needed to be in the US, and i have also tried installing while not connected to the internet and i get a internal error message.

i can understand not letting people half way across the world to not install a game supported by ads based in the us but why lock us out?

If Ubi is gonna stick by this decision i want atleast alittle hint at why.
and if there actually is a way to get it free up hear tell me, or if you cant, point me in the right direction, i can handle myself on the big bad interwebs .

According to some of the download sites, you need a US ip, so just setting your details to US won't work.

Its ad supported - and their target audience is in the U.S. which means that the places that are advertising don't give a potato about people outside of the U.S.

like i also mentioned if the target audience is the US then Canadians are more then likely to be able to buy what ever they are advertising.

its not like i would see a ingame ad for sprite and wonder what the hell sprite is.

lol, they do sell that stuff over this side of the Atlantic too, along with most of the other US owned stuff that's in the ads.

LOL... Imagine one of the mercs holding a can of sprite while shouting "OBEY YOUR THIRST!!"
