I've been checking for the solution online, but I haven't found any suitable answers on my question.
Well, I'm living outside the US. I've downloaded the game, created an account on UBI's website and tried to install the game. After I've entered into the fields my username/password, I get the message: "Only US people can play this game" or something like that at least.

Is that true? That means noone outside the US can play it?

The promo was only available in the US and only for a limited time (Labor day weekend 2007)

You can get the game on steam now, but its actually cheaper here (UK) if you can find it on the budget shelves of your game retailers.

I still don't get the point why it was only available in the US. Well, maybe I'll just wait utill farcry2 free version gets released lol

Presumably because the marketing people behind the promotion where US based and where targetting a US based population with their ingame ads.

I would buy it on Ebay, already. I would pay 50 bucks for this game, best jungle shooter of all time.
