You have to enter ~ to bring up the consoie - then type:
\map <mapname>
where <mapname> is the name in the Levels directory.

No, you're either typing the wrong name or the map directory is in the wrong place.

Ok,this is what I did. I loaded game, it went to the menu board. I hit tilde, typed in /map arctic, which is one of the single player maps I have in the levels folder, then hit the tilde again, then went to campaign, which is all that sounds right to me. It went to the last game I have saved under the selected profile. Where am I going wrong? It didn't load the new map.I'm used to BFV and the like, where you have a seperate menu for single player. I understand typing in the console. I tried hitting enter, but it just went to the next line in the console. I'm guessing I have to hit tilde again to get out of console, but not sure what to do next. I also tried another map I have in the levels folder, same scenario.

\ not /.
It should load the game right away as soon as you type \map MAPNAME
Make sure there is a folder called MAPNAME in Levels and make sure the files in there look like the files in the other levels that come with the game.
For instance:
\map boat
should load the boat level. I think that's the name of the folder in Levels.
