Hi, I know this isn't the Server/Admin forum but after browsing I figure the General Forum is the place I am most likely to get quick and reliable info!

My questions are regarding my server, which I am currently 'renting' from a game server company.

I am familiar with using the Far Cry pulldown console and its commands, at least from client side during multiplayer. However when I am playing in my server, I can't seem to make any of my 'admin' commands effective at the moment.

What I understand is, I can remotely control the rented server by changing the server configuration, map cycles etc via the website of the company I pay to run it for me.

But how do I get my server to recognise me as 'admin', and allow me to issue administrator commands via the console during play?

I have found these Multiplayer Commands in Far Cry Tweak Guide:-

\CL_RCON_PASSWORD [Password] - RCon (Remote Control) client password to allow connection to the RCon for the server.

\RCON [Command] - Execute a console command on a RCon (Remote Control) server.

\SV_RCON_PASSWORD [Password] - Specifies RCon (Remote Control) server password. If there is no password specified RCon is not activated for this server.

Okay so I have a 'password' from my server provider... but how do I 'log in' as such from the console during play to tell the server that I can now issue administrative commands? When I have tried the above commands, the console seems to accept them, but nothing seems to change - I still cannot seem to make any admin changes.

Just tried this (again from Tweak MP Commands guide)...

\RCON_CONNECT - Connects to the RCon (Remote Control) server.

...but 'Unknown command'. However \RCON CONNECT (without the underscore) is accepted, with the console response in blue 'Rcon: (port number) - connect'.

But I still don't seem to be 'connected' to the server as admin. It obviously wants me to give it a password, but when I use the commands above I'm no further forward.

With so many commands, it should perhaps be clearer just which ones to use to gain console control of your server...
