I have been waiting for this game to come out for months!! I bought it the day it came out, brought it home, installed it, got a far as the part where you have to search the beach for something of yours... then I get the following error message... The instruction at "#x########" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program. I downloaded all the windows updates, I downloaded all the driver updates for my sound card and video card. I did virus scans... all clear. I have had no other issues with my PC. I did a search for threads on this error and came up with a World Of Warcraft thread... WOW had the same error and a patch was posted to fix the issue. Is there anyone else having this problem???? Ubisoft is there going to be a patch for this????

i get to the point where jack says there's a fuel leak, i start walking around, and it locks up. sometimes i'll be lucky and get the blue screen, but most times i get to get up off the couch and hit the reset button, only to have to do talk to everyone again, have jack tell me about the leak again, and then have it lock up again. gonna keep looking thru posts, but so far i haven't found anything anywhere.

I had a similar error message in that area of the game. I did the standard driver updates and was able to get past it but continued to get random crashes with/without error messages. I scoured the web for solutions too, but ended up accepting that this game is just buggy as hell. I played through the game fighting with the bugs, it wasn't too hard because this game is only 5 hours long. Instead of trying to configure your machine to it, I would just sit on it and wait for a patch. This game isn't good enough to warrant too much configuring on an otherwise fine machine. Too bad, because this game had a lot of potential, liked the puzzles and varied gameplay.....plus love Lost in general.

yeah, i did the superfinagling bios and driver updates for several things, and it got past the fuel leak. i got excited, did some searching for stuff that reminds me of me, and bam, i get the yeti error message. um, am i at the matterhorn or expedition everest or something? :P anyway, i gave it one more chance after that and played all the way through taking the picture of the girl on the thai beach, plus a little more, without any problems other than falling asleep. but i can see it's not gonna end. somebody patch me!

so, no resolution on the "yeti can't be read" errors?" and don't tell me to update my drivers. they are updated. when does yeti attack? in the cave. after the cave (a lot). before getting to the cockpit. after retrieving your camera from the cockpit. and, b/c of the lame-ass "only save when we say you save" policy, it means i have to do everything between the last forced save and this point over and over again until yeti decides not to strike. fun.

The only solution will be an update patch, which of course ubi have not made yet or given any indication of making as of yet!

At least Berasoft who made Legacy had a forum where people could complain to forum moderators who passed on the info to the developers. But no such thing here, just update your drivers, and not just your graphics and sound drivers, but every bloody driver you have including flashes an updated bios! Now some people dont know how to do this and some motherboard dont come with one click utilities which install for you. And even when you do these nothign changes.

Come on Ubi release a patch already!

I was looking through UBI's FAQ and found this post;

http://ubisoft-en.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ubisoft_en.cfg/p...0x&p_li=&p_topview=1

Basically it says the system cant handle the game if your getting the yeti error and random crashes (much like i am on the beach looking for my stuff, and when i talk to anyone on said beach at that time), however ive checked my system and im above spec and so i dont see why i should have system/game/yeti crashes for the reasons stated.

Im hoping a patch will be brought out and soon as this game seems pritty good so far, even though ive seen mixed reviews.

Edit: tried to minimize the link/url for the post both by using the url button and after removing it as it didnt work. Sorry!!

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I have had nothing but problems with this game. First problem was game crashing and restarting my computer - this meant i had to start from last save point and repeat the whole quest again - fixed this with Windows update.

I have now just got to the point after you take pic of thai girl and go into the jungle, found the debree where it says move to next level, then on loading screen - you've guessed it - crashes with memory message!!

Had this game about 2 weeks, probably completed 20 minutes of gameplay whilst trying to play on it for about 6 hours (because of all the crashes).

All my specs are way above recommended. It is a complete joke and it as made me decide to stop playing the game until there is a patch to fix this problem. I seriously doubt that there will ever be one though.

Shame because i was really looking forward to this game and it had alot of potential but i am completely pissed off now!!!
