First post and all that, so hi everyone. I suppose it's a bit daft replying to a post that's four months old. And I'm waiting on delivery of this particular game so I can't even give a definitive answer, but anyway, for those like me who zero in on a Mac related thread, if recent experience is anything to judge by....
Generally s/w for OSX such as Parallel desktop and FM Fusion are generally crap when it comes to gaming. Parallel have rather an impressive games compatibility list on their website, which they constantly update, but some of the more modern and graphic intensive titles I've tried, don't work using this method. The problem lies in the way that they bridge the graphic card specs between the two OS's. They might meet the requirements on paper, but in practice, most of the time anyway, the game won't recognize the specs as being adequate and returns an error when you try and run it. Your best shot by far is to simply boot the machine in Windows XP or whatever, directly from the Bootcamp partition. I use a 24", 2.8 iMac that's just under a year old and can run some of the more intensive games at full spec under Bootcamp with few, in any problems. |
