when playing, can you stop it and return or do you have to start over again? i have read the manual but no help. is there a code to save the game? there must be a way to save the game where you ended and come back to it at a later date.

To my knowledge there are no save features of any kind. What I used to do, was after playing till bedtime was leave the PC running at what progress you were at or last checkpoint and turn the monitor off till the following day. Naturally, this is not convenient if you have only 1 PC but is convenient if you have 2 PC's and still have access to the internet on the 2nd one. I highly recomend having your protection turned on and updated.
