For the life of me I cannot land and chnge in to the bomber. I line up get the gear out and as soon as I touchdown I hit B (same as in North Africa) yet I do not slow down I continue to roll and then crash and burn

I hope you remember to lower the landing gear (it took me 3 tries b-4 i figure it) What platform are you playing BA on? In original X-Box you slow down on the runway the same way as with flying, by pulling back on the (R) thumbstick. How do you approach the landing? Slow or fast? If you have not tried it yet, approach your landing from afar as slow as the plane will allow (remember to lower your landing gear)....
