In the Northern Africa photo mission I can get all the way to the carrier, but I have no book therefore, I do not Know where the brakes are???

When you land on an aircraft carrier, your plane will be picked up by a hook on the deck to slow your plane down.
Just advance the carrier at the lowest possible speed.
You can pull down the thrust if you are using a joystick, else continuesly push s to slow down.
Toch down your plane in the first 1/3 part of the deck and you will stop automatically.
