Ubisoft could have continued ignoring these message boards. I could even request to be transfered to another game forum by the simple action of telling my bosses that my activity here is a waste of time.

But instead I'll keep trying for you guys.

Since I've come aboard here, I've had one minor issue resolved. That's of a Wii registration problem. That's as a direct result of my reading your complaints.

I also compiled a report about the joystick problem which I wasn't even asked to compile. Because I personally care.

So as long as I'm here on the boards, for those of you who have some sense of hope and optimism, I think I might have some positive effects.

How realistic a year-old game getting patched for a few pissed off forum junkies is, I can't tell you. But I do know that I'll continue putting pressure on my people to help you people.

reason you were not asked to report joystick issues is ubi know it cant be fixed
this is over a year old game.

No. They want us to report joystick issues. What they didn't require were special reports about any specific issues. They're looking for the general stuff right now, to get the forum management cleaned up a little. I took it upon myself to compile a special report about the joystick issues and they read the report.

But of course, if the JS issues don't get fixed, I'll have no problem with you guys coming down on me.

I must say that this is a surprising move from Ubisoft, since at one point they were closing threads where people were asking for help concerning problems with their games, stating that they should contact Technical Support (where you're lucky if you get an automated response at all) instead of posting on the forums.

That said, it would be nice if you could clarify exactly what's happening with the forums since we now have people with the title of "Administrator", "Ubi Forum Manager" and "Community Manager" and it's not clear to me who's doing what anymore.

I'm not sure what I can say "officially," but I'm pretty sure Ubi has sent out a team of people like me for most of the titles to basically clean up the mess that you guys know is so apparent. I'll talk to my peeps tomorrow and see if they'd like to write up an official little write-up explaining things, though.

The company i'm working for happen to be a neibhor of ubisoft here in quebec city. I can take time to go to them and talk to them about the problem i have with ubisoft games. I have problem with farcry, wich seem to diminish, and also blazing angels wich seem to diminish too. I also have silent hunter tree wich isnt working.Ialso have Pacific hunter wich seem to be magic interference too. I heard that BF2 was ubisoft. Well on that one i choose to quit it after 2 month of trying it. I realy try to enjoy BF2 but it fail me. The map is too short and the plane and the helicopter faail to be realistic. So i choose to destroy my all new's cd's. I trow them in the basket and away. I want a good game. BF2 is a fail. BF 2141, gee i forgot the name of the game isanyway. I will stick on mw4 and it is still fun. Merc stinck for now. Gee, I will have tio wait for a game that aint ubisfoft in it. BF 1942 is still good as mechwarriopr 4

Maybe you guys should start a "Boycott Ubisoft" thread. It'd be good to include in my reports to illustrate the gravity of your concerns, once again... (They'd probably be pissed if they knew I suggested this.)

boycott theres already alot of people who have left here.
this forum used to have lots of active members.
its dead here just a small amount of people checking here to see if theres been any change with the game patches so on.
i have this game a long time now i keep checking here to see if theres a working patch or if online has restarted.
and over a year has passed and your the only person from ubi to show up here and say theres a report being done.
ubi should have had this fixed long before now
they should give us a working patch and a few extra maps for the long wait as i have said before its to late dont think the game can get life back into it
even the console ba is dead
put in your report that i would like my money back to buy a ea product lol

To be honest I'm really surprised to see you post something like that since you basically are "Ubisoft" on these forums. Forum members have been banned for creating boycott threads during the Starforce debacle.

Hurrah, first time i've checked this forum in about six months, and ubisoft have a presence at last.
First, the whole 'joystick is on or off' (or 'eight-way' as we used to call it) thing. It's not. There is analogue control there, but with such a huge deadzone, followed by such a steep rate of change, it feels like an old eight-way joystick.

Second, I see the main BA page refers to Secret Missions, coming summer 07 for xbox360 and PC. So i googled for previews, and it seems to be a sequel, rather than an expansion. Should we assume that BA Pt1 is now a pranged kite?

Not third. I also read a preview (IGN) which suggested (downright stated) that they have taken the sequel down a more arcadey route. I guess PC gaming really is dead.

Does this patch apply to game consoles or is it just for PCs?

Ok I learned of this game today and was tryin to check it out. Thanks everyone here on the forum you saved me some MONEY. It is sad for a company to put out a product that flatly doesnt work and then lacks the skill or will to fix it or make it right with customers. I also had silent hunter 3 and it didnt work. It seems I should continue to steer away from UBI games.

Well since they fixed the joystick issue in BA2 why can't they fix BA1. Is there going to be a patch UBI? It's not fair because you took our money for a broken product and you fixed the most recent version, not the one we paid for. It is still broken.

Yeah I agree...that would be nice...it might even resurrect the game online...and then again maybe not its been so long now...even though there is a third party work around to fix the joystick issue...I would prefer a properly working game...
I reiterate...BA 1 & BA 2 are the best looking WWII combat flight games in existence...no need to spoil that because of a faulty control interface...so please, please guys lets repair BA1 also...and maybe we can get a cult following online...

Wont even let me install the patches, **** support. patch 1 wont go, - already installed, patch 2, wont install - needs patch 1 first, what a joke

Hi guys,

Right I have had huge issues with BA1 & BA2...untill I bought a new PC and all problems got solved...how I dunno...same joysticks everything.
But....!!! I made sure that all my windows updates were done...critical and optional!! Suddenly everything seemed to work well...makes a bit of sense doesn't it...its a ported game...to work on an optimal windows platform...maybe the NETFramework has something to do with it...who knows.
