I have the PC version & after considerable difficulty, & more by luck than skill managed to get through to Rabaul. Having spent many frustrating hours on Rabaul, I threw the game to the back of the cupboard & moved on to other things. Then I stumbled across this Forum! Wish that I had done so before I bought this damn game. As others have said, the graphics are superb, but the flight controls with keyboard & mouse are pathetic. However Ubisofts' biggest crime, (apart from not heeding all the gripes on this Forum), is not having the ability to SAVE at checkpoints, as it is so frustrating & demoralising to battle ones' way through 2, 3 or maybe even 4 checkpoints, only to realise that unless you see the mission through to its' conclusion, (at maybe 2:00am), you will have to start it all over again at square one. Shame on you UBISOFT. Blazing Angels 2?? Forget it.
I second u mate: Blazing Angels 2 ....no way man...never... All Ubisoft have done with this game's problems is lately change their forum representatives...for a moment there was a glimmer of hope...hey Max...are u still here...and gradually the hope fades for any patch fixes...just as this game is fading away...shame on u Ubi. Guess how many Ubisoft games I'll buy again? LOL...and so I also fade away and move on to better things....
it sucks big time ba2 no way, there wont be a new patch how longs this game out now near 2 years or so. blazing angels product is dead look at ba2 forums theres no interest. demo comes out, i will try it, but i probley not buy. i just got sturmovik 1946, just starting to learn the game and its hard, but once i master it, it will be fun loads of servers and people playing
I'm retired U.S.A.F. and I thought I might get to enjoy Blazing Angels 1,but it turns out I was wrong.First problem I had with B.A.1 was just getting the camera to work, then I still have not found any bases in that sandstorm. After 15 minutes of listening to those krauts and just letting the plane turn itself around(as somebody recommended),I decided to play Ace Combat 6:Fires of Liberation instead. At least THAT I can enjoy.Whoever set this game up needs to here the good old Trump words-YOU'RE FIRED!!!There's no real decent directions in the pamphlet, controls are bogus and how do you expect ANYBODY able to find those bases in a sandstorm like that?PS3,XBOX360(I've got both & they're reverse compatible)or PC players will not stand still for such rubbish very long so you need to put out a notice on how to find those bases.Pull your head out and start trying to see how the players feel about getting burned like that, then you'll understand & know what would be the best way to make more customers.
I cant realy comment on this game goz iv never played it before and after these complaints id prob wont buy it... iv never been able to find a sim/game thats realistic enough (since Jane's fa18 sim which was a great game). I find the dev of combat and normal flight sims tend to miss the figner details of flight and aviation, so i just stick with the real thing and buy rts and fps games...

Had no problem finding the basas in the sandstorm. My big problem was trying to land on carrier. No matter what I did it wouldn't stop. After weeks of trying I gave up & gave the game away.BL2 was bought with much trepidation, but turned out to be pretty cool right to the end.Now I can,t find anybody to go online to do the rest.
