This level is really getting on my effing tits.

No matter how many planes I shoot down, no matter how many I destroy on the runway it always ends u the same, too many effing planes in the air!!!

My squadron are worse than useless, can't shoot down a damn thing. Any ideas? Any way I can skip this level?
