I've been playing the game for a few weeks now (pretty much taken it over from my son). I've progressed as far as trying to land at Guadalcanal but I have received no medals along the way. I tried going back to previous levels and shooting everyone down faster than I did the first time.... What am I missing here???

Also - I appreciate the previous tips posted on landing after Guadalcanal. Ready to try again......

You on;y aquire medals after achiving an ace rank on the mission. Sorry, just keep working at it.
