I killed 54 planes in 9 mins and its still not enough????? Anybody who finished this mission got any tips for me????

Just a thought, are you killing the right planes? The bombers attacking the Battleship row?

I got no clue. It just says destroy all bombers and defend airfield. I do not discriminate any enemies. I just shoot them all. lol.

try out run the fighters and attack as much bombers as you can, attacking the fighters slows you down and more bombers will reach their target

Good for you.. I couldn't even take off... I guess it is just like the movie for me then .. except I am not Ben Aflec =P

ok I finally finished the mission after trying a couple 100 times. lol.

some tips.
before takeoff wait till Tom gives the order to get off the ground. leave the hangar on the left side and stay on the left side of the airfield. when you get in air you only got 4 bombers in front of you. slow down and turn back to them when they pass you. when you shot those 4 bombers the next close 4 are 20Â˚ to your left. keep following groups of 3 or 4 bombers. you gotta make sure you kill only the bombers that attack the airfield.some just circle around and do no harm. leave them. do not try to take out fighters. you got a wingman. give him orders to clear your six each time they shoot at you. if no figter near give your wingman order to attack your target. planes go down easier like that.
I finished the mission in 19mins as ACE. shootin down 103 planes. got me a nice purple heart for that.
