I'm verry happy with Ubisoft!! This is the best airplane combat game i've ever played so far!! The best graphics..and the best action!! Now i know this isn't simulation..But that's how Ubi is being different!! They make an arcade flight game so that the controls for flying the planes is easier!! I gave this game's rating 9/10!!
Now i don't know anything about the joystick issue...but i'm playing this game using a Logitech RumblePad 2 dual analog stick with vibration!! and i can really feel the intense!! The controls for this game is perfect!! I think u guys should buy an analog gamepad..coz this game works great with it!! The only bug i've noticed is at the dunkirk evacuation..but it's ok..it's been fixed!! Ubi..this is one of your best game!! I'm happy with my purchase!! thanks ubi!! |

Hi
In what mission is the dunkirk? It's because i have some problems with the first mission!! |
||||
|
|
|
first mission is trainning mission where some people have problems trying to play the game next would be dunkirk were there is a bug read a couple of posts some people had some issues with them two missions and have posted how they fixed it
|

I think what's stoppoing the joystick drivers from working is the starforce libraries..I hope Ubi can come out with a new patch that fix the dunkirk bugs and remove the starforce libraries..glad ubi didnt use starforce anymore..

Can I have what ever it is that your are taking to escape reality?? LOL |

I read that post and plugged in my brandnew Saitek Rumble Force Gamepad. I never had occassion to use it, so I pulled it out of storage. I have no luck at all. The game doesn't respond to the gamepad at all and I sit on the flightline with my guns blazing for some reason and I can't program the game to accept the gamepad input. If you have any ideas please post them because I for one am really pissed off and disappointed at UBI for this. I have two other friends who have it in the same boat.

Just a guess, but if your guns are blazing perhaps the game is seeing the throttle as primary fire???
Not knowing anything about gamepads, is it neccessary to map them as you would a joystick? If so make sure your throttle is in the neutral (halfway) position before starting. As I said, just a thought. |

/me points ASTRO TURF MUCH nice try |

use a logitech rumblepad 2...i'll guarantee u i works..it works in every games i tried that supports gamepad..Vibration is great!! Even in fifa 07 and other EA games has compability in it
If u have the proper system to run this game..u're gonna like it as much as i do!! |

I think this is a great game. I've had it for about a week now, and it's one of the best flight games I've ever played. Just like every other game, there are a few problems with it--no rudder, no optional cockpit view, and the joystick issues. However, I can live without a rudder, cockpit view, and I got my joystick to work. the throttle slider doesn't work, so I set one of the buttons as speed up, and another as slow down, and that seems to work pretty good. I have a Saitek ST290pro, and althought it took me a while to get it to work properly with this game, I enjoy it now that it does.
I would like it if it was like the old Jane's WW2 Fighters game, where you can set up your own mission and play against the computer, because that would be an amazing feature to this game. In general, this is one of the best flight games I've played, right up there with Ace Combat for the PS2...now if I could just get through that stupid Berlin mission lol |

lol u must be the 1% of this forum thats happy with this game lol
as for playing the computer boreing multiplayer support and a good fix for the joystick problems is what we want if ubi were to come back here and show us that they are working on another patch witch i dont think they will but if they did i would reinstall i agree with u it could be a great game the single play and the graphic are very good but that get boreing after a while multiplay is what we want and working joysticks if they give a bit of support and some new content to the game new maps planes so on people would be realy happy with the game even an editor for the community to make something of the game but we wont here from ubi in this forum again glad youre happy thats what gameing should be is fun to me ubi took all the fun away with lack of support and none working patches |

Well boys its finally happened...I did what I gate doing…chasing good money after bad…to make Blazing Angles work I followed some threads here and bought a new stick… not a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro but a Logitech Force 3D Pro…about 85$. Well the X axis didn’t pick up as expected but reads as buttons and functions about the same as a button switch…but with a terrible dead zone that one cannot set…and of course without any sensitivity settings one is fairly lost. But everyone by now kind of knows from these threads that this game does not support joysticks properly…that is everyone except Ubisoft who’s support are still referring new comers to this forum for solutions to joystick issues...as if that is going help.
Well now that I have a Perfectly New Joystick and I have no game to support it. Oh yes, I also bought a Genius gamepad for BA …needless to say the game doesn’t even detect this. Luckily (or unluckily I got BA as a gift) and now have spent 25$ on a gamepad, 85$ on a new stick…and to support my hate of chasing good money after bad…I have now spent another 42$ on a game that will support my new glorious joystick. And this game is “Heroes of the Pacific”. I have only completed 2 campaigns now and already my soul is content… Heroes of the Pacific rocks!!! It works and feels good and plays awesome!! Flying is fluid on the stick and one can actually hit a target…unlike BA where you have a greater chance of hitting a boomerang in flight with a thrown sledge hammer!! Oh yes and should you staff or torpedo a ship or boat…it actually sinks...unlike in BA where is just goes & sits dead in the water like a dumb duck!!! I have uninstalled BA and wish to burn it on my street corner…but out of courtesy to my buddy who bought it I will keep it in case he asks about it. “Heroes of the Pacific” is published here by Codemasters…which reminds me of a recent highly publicized new release from Ubisoft called “Faces of War” which is a WW2 strategy game with fully destructible environment…whooopy…the game is virtually a straight copy of the Codemaster’s classic “Soldiers: Heroes of WW2” only diffs is that FoW you can orbit the cam view to horizon level…much good this is when your artillery can only make a ranged attack over equivalent of 300 yards!!! Needless to say I will never buy another Ubisoft game again!!!! Sorry Oleg as I am really looking forward to your new Battle of Britain. Long live Codemasters and EA Games!!! See all ya fly boys online at Heroes of the Pacific |

dude, how much is ubi paying you to say that you approve of this piece? you must be one of the only 3 people who attempt to play this game with a gamepad. |
