If you're talking about the missions that starts with Joe saying "That's it...it's open..." it took me AWHILE to figure it out...and now I'm stumped at another place, but I'll tell you what I know up to that point.
The first segment is just over 3 minutes long and it's ALL about speed and maneuverability. The object is to get through all of the twists and turns of an underground canyon maze to get to a secret base deep in a fjord. I crashed 100 times before I made it through....but if you don't try it at slow speed first (the clock will time out, don't sweat it...you've got to learn where those turns and canyon walls are), and keep gradually speeding up every time you conquer a new turn or obstacle. IT WILL TAKE TIME AND YOU'LL GET FRUSTRATED...but once you hear Joe say "Be careful...it gets tight in here!" you're almost to "The Mission."
The Mission is to destroy a couple of destroyers, patrol boats, and land targets, in a small flight area with a huge island and walls all around, all while getting shot at. The good thing is that once you're into the fjord, you're on a new objective, so if you get shot down or crash into a wall, you don't have to go all the way back to the start of the 3+ minute canyon trip....UNLESS YOU TURN THE GAME OFF. If you do, you start over from the beginning of the first "That's it...it's open" from Joe.
After you've completed the "The Mission" (Joe will tell you when by saying "That's it...it's open" again. Steer toward Joe and go through another narrow opening and another canyon. Once you get into this canyone, you'll reach another objective point, which is good 'cause this mission is less than two minutes long and has Bf110s attacking you. They fall in from above, so if you're on the first one fast, it's easy to shoot down...but they all shoot back, so if you're damaged coming out of the secret base, you're at greater risk. Anyway, you'll meet two on the front end, unless you crash a few times, at which time you only see one in the first segment. The first Bf110 disappears, the second one comes about halfway to the first tight turn...unless you crash a few times or shoot the first one down a few times....then neither one comes in.
My trouble is with less than :30 seconds to play, there's a TIGHT left turn at the end of a LONG canyon that I CANNOT make. The controls stop responding. Two Bf110s come in and make the turn, and I have yet to be able to follow them around that turn. I've tried all I know to try.......
