A lot of new players see lagging and think someone is cheating somehow. Nah, it is just the way it is with this type of self hosting. Though I have seen lag in all online games at one time or another.
It seems to be mostly a factor of distance.
Skarden is East coast Australia, I'm West coast US. I got a clip of him flying like a mosquito on steroids. Just a couple of wacky passes.

yea lag can be a spoiler self hosting can be laggy
im from belfast some games can be laggy some times we get little to no lag

crashing to desktop

Trackmanianation (with plenty of dedicated servers) crashed me passed the desktop so many times, I uninstalled it.
Too bad it was fun, but it would send me too a DOS screen with nothing to do but shut down the comp. Did that about a quarter of the time I exited the game.
