Hi, I created two user accounts for my Chessmaster GM 11 version. One of the user account is not showing up in drop down. Change user option only shows one id. When I explore the file systesm I can see the other id & its data. This happend shortly after I applied a chessmaster patch. I don't recall exactly what happend. Could you please help me in restoring that id. I used that id to build my game and hate to loose the progress... Appreciate your help!
Hmm... sounds like you didn't install the patch correctly... what operating system do you have, and what version number do you have?
Anyway, this is a bit crude, but it will fix the problem: Rename the user folder in question (i.e., 'MyUser2' to 'MyUser2_Old'). Then, go to Chessmaster and create a new user 'MyUser2'. After that, go back and copy everything from the 'MyUser2_Old' folder to the 'MyUser2' folder.
Thanks for your response. I am using Visa Home basic. I renamed my missing user folder, created new and swaped the names. I am able to logon with the user id. However it's not showing my old rating etc., My .usr, .ppts,.lay files are intact. I have Adjourned games, tdata folders. But none of them were picked up.
I am using Chessmaster GM 11. Just want to let you know, After restoring the old id I can load all my previous adjourned games. I am not able to see my Academy progress.
