Have you come here to ask a question, or just complain? During your first 20 rated games, your rating is provisional, meaning it will fluctuate while Chessmaster determines your playing strength. After 20 games, your rating will change less. If you think Chessmaster isn't playing strong enough, then you probably need to choose another personality... there are several to choose from, each designed to play at differing skill levels. By the way, a Stalemate can be considered a draw. It doesn't mean you've won the game. As far as the introductory movie/music is concerned; most Chessmaster players enjoy it. If you don't, it can be disabled... read the Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition FAQ to find out how. Finally: Constructive criticism is accepted and welcomed; mindless complaining is not.

quote: Originally posted by jeffydavid: I've never purchased a chess game before, but I'm quite disappointed with Chessmaster. I get Stalemates and lose points, even when I have CLEARLY won the match. I have 2 queens and the opposition has a king a, a knight, and a pawn. Yet I lost. Chessmaster should not give up the match so easily. If I could get my 800 points back, I would. This isn't Chess. Dear Chessmaster programmers: You're jerks.
Jeffy are you absolutely positive the game is malfunctioning? next time you have this problem you should post a screen shot. from your description it sounds like its not a glitch. As mentioned a stalemate is not a win. if you don't like that, don't get into a stalemate position. play better, learn more. that goes for me and everyone else all the way up to grandmaster level.
