my game is in french In the menu game (third columns )there's an option import winboard engine u can also create a new personnality with the new engine enjoy! i whispers i am easy to understand. |

I used to do it with Chessmaster 10, with this latest edition I tried, but the engine doesn't make any move. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or what. |

except you wanted rybka, and rybka is a UCI engine, not a winboard.. so you'll need to do some other 'tricksy' things. but this is where i'm as lost as you.. perhaps another person knows better

Here is what you need: Polyglot, a tool to use UCI engines (like Rybka for instance) with a Winboard compatible Graphical Interface (like Chessmaster):

You were easy to understand, except you used the word "whispers" wrong/incorrectly. "Whispers" means "to talk quietly" what you probably meant was the word "wish" which is the desire for a hope or dream to come true. But the best way to say what you wanted is probably "I hope I am easy to understand". I am not trying to mock you or feel bad, I have a lot of respect for anyone who knows more than one language, especially since I only know one. Just trying to help. |

That's one of the things about English, no matter how you may mangle the grammar, misspell words or use the wrong word, most of the time we can understand your meaning. So don't worry about making errors, and ignore any ignorant "Grammar Nazis", a lot of people on the UBI forums don't use English as their first language, there are members from all round the world here. I tried a couple of times with polyglot, but Rybka doesn't make a move. I will try again, because with CMX it installs the UCI engine without any problem. By the way which personality is the strongest in Chessmaster? I think the Kramnik personality is the strongest. |

ok no problem i have learning a new word thx to you! And i HOPE u don't be deseapointed for my long time to answers i haven't internet  And so yes i think uci can be imported in cmXI without polyglot but i am not sure. |

I'm new to this, so I tried a nice and easy download/install to begin. I added 'crafty' to my CM XI as a winboard engine. Now, how do I access it to analyze a position?
