While I applaud Ubisoft's latest update of the ever popular Chesmaster series, now augmented with new teaching data and a slightly modified interface, and new chess boards (many of which are quite nice and alone worth the purchase), I wonder why on earth it keeps leaving out of the equation a full screen option. This -- as in Fritz -- would enable the chess player to see nothing on the screen but the chess board and the backgroung, if he or she wants this minimalist and realistic type of display. I myself miss it a lot, and I seriously doubt I am alone in this boat. In fact, I bet a great many users would love to have at their disposal this full sreen option when playing Chessmaster. So PLEASE Ubisoft, make it available in Chesmaster 12, and I will buy it in a New York minute.

Seriously, it's hard for me to understand why this would be a key factor in your decision to purchase Chessmaster.

You do know that you can hide the various windows (i.e., Game Status, Captured Pieces, Shortcuts, Navigation Bar, etc.), right? Just go to the Windows menu select 'Hide/Unhide Windows' or hit Ctrl + Tab.

This may not be full screen, but it will give you the minimalist look you desire...

Hi i am agree with you about the full screen that's why i have make my own interface for cm11
so u can have just a black screen and u're chess set for good immersion.
here how it looks:

as u can see i hven't totally hide the menu letters but they are grey so it's not disturbing
and i have not hide the windows controls.
u can hide all if u want...
