I'm trying to create a new opening book, but only for practicing openings. I don't want any of the personalities to use it. I just want it to show up when I go to "practice openings." I've already created .OBK files, and modified them, but when I go to practice, everything is the same.

How can I do that? Note, this is the downloaded Grandmaster Edition.

Let's see if I remember this correctly...

By default, the opening book you use is Mentor.OBK. It's defined in your player's INI file. You can find it here:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition\Data\Users\\.ini

Under the [engine] section, you'll see the entry 'book=Mentor.OBK'. Change 'Mentor.OBK' to the name of the file you want. Then save the file.
