To stop the so called Freezing was not really a freeze after all. It was the engine hogging the CPU not letting the game butt in. But the answer was not to lower the engine, but to raise the game. Lowering the engine didn't do much. The engine the game used for me was TheKing350.exe.
Using trial and error and watching the processes. The only thing that fixed the situation was to set game.exe to above normal and everything is working fine now. Thanks to the moderators that tried to help but none of the remedies prevailed. I know it was frustrating and also for me. |

Good job
It's kind of obvious now that we know, isn't it In 10th edition lowering the engine's priority did the trick, in Grandmaster edition raising the GUI's priority fixes it. In next edition we will probably have to lower the engine and raise the GUI to prevent the "freeze" I would really like to know the cause why on some computers the engine and GUI are off-balance. P.S.: KHollister, I think you should add this to the FAQ's. |

It seems like all the excitement happens when I'm stuck in a meeting.
The bad thing is that you have to go through this little routine every time you run Chessmaster, right? At any rate, this has been added to the Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition FAQ. Thanks for the information! |
