Aronian continues his winning streak and has already secured himself the 1st place. Lately he has an amazing score with the white pieces (from last 15 classical games he won 12 and drew 3 when he had white) and in Bilbao he is excelent with the black pieces too.

Ironically, Aronian normally shouldn't be in Bilbao. Final masters should be contested between winners of the Grand Slam tournaments: Topalov (Nanjing), Karjakin (Wijk aan Zee), Grischuk (Linares), Shirov (Sofia)
But when Topalov declined, Aronian replaced him.
