I currently have Chessmaster 9000, and I'm debating on getting Chessmaster 11. The primary thing I want to get it for are the commentaries on matches. Are there a lot more commentary matches added to Chessmaster 11 since Chessmaster 9000?

I can't remember much about CM 9000 -- that was very long ago for me

CMXI has 900 Famous Games, each of which are annotated. However, I must confess that I haven't looked at all of them -- at least not yet...

XI is good compared to 9000. Because 9000 is the last version you have, you should buy XI. However, don't expect online play. And if you want, wait a few months until the price drops. (i think since you didn't buy X, then you can wait a few more months).

However, i'm disappointed how little different XI is from X... in fact, i'm disappointed a little... but i guess we all had high expectations... maybe mine were a little too high

First off, thanks for the input. I honestly probably won't play more than 5-6 games of chess. I just really loved the audio commentary through a lot of the matches. The discussion of the strategies, and the mental aspect of the game is what I really enjoy. But thanks for the information about the game!

The online play is good, it was good few months ago when the rating system was working now it kinda detierated, I just hope ubi solve the rating system and the greyed out join buttons
