Carlsen does it again and is now 2 points ahead of Wang Yue who is the only one that (luckily) escaped from Carlsen's claws with a draw. ALL non-Carlsen games were drawn , however it must be said that almost all of them were hard fought interesting draws.

With this results Carlsen moved up on #2 position in the live rating list. If he continues with the same pace (which will be very difficult) he will surpass 2800 and overtake Topalov by the end of this tournament. I don't think it will happen yet. At least not in this tournament.

Tomorrow is a rest day.

Carlsen wins once more for a record breaking 3002 rating performance (previous record was held by Ivanchuk) and to become the 5th player in history (after Kasparov, Kramnik, Topalov and Anand) to break the 2800 barrier (at least unofficially). Next official rating list will be published by FIDE on November 1st. I don't think Carlsen is scheduled to play anything until then so his live rating should become official at the end of this month.
