Specs:
Intel Duo Pro processor Intel 845G for graphics 3GB RAM New Windows XP Install with SP3 Chessmaster installed normaly with DirectX When I open the game, the opening movie plays But once the main menu loads, the spinning chessboard in the main menu appears for a split second then the entire main menu screen is white. I was able to enter my name, and when i right-click it in the taskbar to close I get the confirmation asking to exit, but otherwise just a white screen. Looking through the FAQ and searching the forums I tried all the normal freezing fixes but to no avail. Any suggestions on where to start? |

Did the auto-updater download and install the updates? If not, you may have to download and install them manually.
After that, the first thing to do is make sure you have the lastest drivers for your video card. You could also try disabling the introduction movie, too. |

Latest updates installed, graphics card updated.
Disabling the movie same problem, when opening Chessmaster it just shows a white screen at the main menu. My first guess is Chessmaster, like other games, are not compatible with certain Intel graphics, seeing as how the main menu uses 3D effects. |

It's possible that your video card isn't compatible... however, I don't have these issues with my Mobile Intel 965 Express; so I wouldn't give up hope yet.
Contact Ubisoft Technical Support... I would recommend calling them by phone. |
