I was just curious if the Grandmaster Edition was the same game as the 10th edition, but with more features.

Meaning, does it still have everything from the 10th Edition, other than a new look?

Well, it does have a new look, but it's more than that. Some of the new things are:

• New chess sets
  
• New tutorials from Josh Waitzkin
  
• Database of 900 famous games
  
• Correspondence chess
  
• Chess variants (only available for online play)
  
• Automatic updating feature
  

While many of these new features are nice, one ne of the negative aspects is that it uses a different protocol; so you can only play online with others who have Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition.

However, for the most part, it's much like Chessmaster 10th Edition.

like you said: same game, new features. the interface is also nearly identical... just a different color.

if you're low on $ but still want it, wait until they drop the prices. if you don't care about $, then get it.
