I know old previous of Chessmaster had this ability to adjust the 3D perspective of the chessboard.

Is this possible in Chessmaster 11?

I'm not talking about the angles or rotation or size. It's about the perspective!

If it's not the angle, rotation or size then I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean by perspective Smile

True...

I have to wonder why they didn't include 3D glasses with this version. Did they assume everyone still had the pair from CM10? Confused

Perspective is the ability to change the depth of field or the isometric of the chessboard.

I believe previous version of Chessmaster has this option. Way before Chessmaster 10th.

Where I can change the isometric view of the chessboard. Is this possible in Chessmater 11?

I still don't know what exactly do you want and I don't remember anything like this from CM8000 or CM9000.

If you want to tilt the board, then click on the board and use the up/down arrows on your keyboard.

This was almost a hidden feature in CM8000 or CM7000. It's only documented in the help files.

By pressing the Shift (or Ctrl??) while dragging the corner of the board, you can change the perspective of the board.

Can you see the sample GIF above?

The top square can change its perspective view. This is possible in previous Chessmaster.

The size, angle, tilt, and rotation remain unchanged. But the perspective has change.

Well, Chessmaster 9000 (and later) doesn't seem to have this feature. I've tried Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Alt Gr and nothing seems to work.

Hi, folks...
I'm absolutely new at this forum... A greenhorn, a newbie... And my english is not so good.
So be gentle, ok? Big Grin
Well, I have Chessmaster 7000 (I found the manual yesterday) and I think I remember that... Smile
I'm running the Chessmaster 11 edition now, and another missing feature I noticed is the hability to mix different boards and chess set... I don't understand why I can't do this now. Wink
Anyway, Chessmaster it's amazing. I'm improving my game a lot!

Nice forum! Really nice!

Welcome to the forum AroCiv.

Indeed, mixing of different boards and chess set are gone too.

But I'm loving the ability to change skin.

True, the feature to mix different chess sets and boards isn't there anymore. I noticed that a while ago, but it wasn't a big thing for me...

At least we still have the ability to change the wallpaper that goes with a set/board. Smile

Glad you like the game! Smile

Ah, but it is! I have four chess sets here at home (real ones), and two boards. I'm willing to buy another board, just to increase my options... Smile
I would love to get this back. Please, Ubisoft! Thumbs Up

Add it to the list (CM 11 Bug Fixes / Enhancements). Smile

I know there were limitations in mixing sets/boards in the older versions of CM. As Ubisoft purchased some designs from the House of Staunton, this might be a reason for the lack of this feature in CM 11 (HOS only wants their sets to be used with certain boards).

Well, you can always block the Staunton sets and mix the other sets...
Shady
Could it be so difficult? Smile

Hey AroCiv, welcome to the forum. Your English is very good. Better than some native speakers i know! Big Grin

For the record you said "hability" instead of "ability". It might have been a typo, and either way i knew what you meant immediately. I am only mentioning it because I figure you may have a desire to correct/learn that sort of thing.

Thanks, EternallyIgnora!
I humbly welcome every correction I need... And I'll need a lot! Big Grin
But in this case... I wrote and posted, and after that I was reading again... And "hability" seemed wrong. In fact, in another post, I wrote ˜ability'.
Well, ˜ability' means "habilidade", and it has an 'H' in Portuguese (I live in Rio de Janeiro Wink )... ˜ But not in English', I thought. So, I was about to editing the post, but you know... The browser is open, why not?... Let's search... Just to confirm. And I've found this:
http://www.webster-dictionary.net/definition/Hability
It is an English word, after all... It's not very used, but stills in the language. Ability seems to come from Latin ˜habilitate' through hability. However, nobody who speaks English correctly will write ˜hability' nowadays.
So, I decided to keep the poor word in my post, and let it breathe a little, just to see the sunlight once more... Wink

Sorry to highjack the thread... On topic: I've just installed Chessmaster 7000 on my notebook running Vista business... Crashed sometimes, who cares? Smile
Back on the subject...

Go to (Chessmaster 7000)'Preferences', 'Chess Set', 'Custom Board'. But you don't have many choices here... Smile
The perspective feature doesn't seem that awesome now... However, if Ubisoft decides to bring it back in a patch, an upgrade or the next version, they certainly can do something splendid...
A question, off topic again... It's possible to load the engine of Chessmaster in a software like HIARCS 12?
