There is often an issue occuring when trying to join your opponent for a game. The join button is nearly always grayed out.
Even if you right click on opponent and click Accept challenge it will not be acepted it will stay there as if nothing has been clicked.
This needs to be sorted out within a next patch, it's SEVERE!!!
No wonder why we don't have enough players online. And that's because of this simple yet crucially fatal bug, that can easily be fixed.

Yes, so far the so called new protocol for CMXI online play sucks. I was hoping the new patch might have fixed this. They should have kept the old protocol from CMX in place for CMXI and thereby growing the number of online players. I have seen this problem you talk about when trying to play players such as woodpusherghd and GMKnight. Some days we can play, and sometimes we cannot.

Yet on Playchess, Free Internet Chess Server, ICC, and ChessOK servers I can connect and play a game of chess at any time with no problems and they host way more chess games on a regular basis (300+).

My bigger question is how was this BUG missed during beta testing? I don't see this as a Firewall or Ports issue since I know these players as well as myself have checked these things. Lets not even talk about ratings for rated games not being updated when you win a game. I think they (UBISOFT) may have server problems when it comes to hosting games for CMXI. Maybe the problem is their new protocol.

i have the same bug.So the new patch is good for new chess set (but we have enought more than 128)And new mini game is great but for online bug it seems that ubi can't solve the probleme.Because they have listen all the request of users.(mentor line crashes etc but not the online bug).

Next Puzzle, is fusoab playing or viewing ??
