Btog, you have a voice of reason. you must be along in years, like your avatar pic. though ebu hasn't said it, i think it's more than just the personal attack that made him leave. i suspect that was just the last straw. what happened was that the other mods left, and he was the only one holding down the fort. he doesn't know many people now.. and most of them didn't really stand up for him until after he made up his mind (all the grief wasn't worth the hastle... there was absolutely no reward). the other mods didn't come back, and so he gave up.

at least, that's the only reason that makes sense to me... if it was only for the reasons he's mentioned, then it was an over-reaction and it's hard to go back on one of those. but, he's not really obligated to tell us diddly squat... he could have vanished into thin air like the rest. (deep down inside, i think he still cares )

That's something else that confuses me... the Chessmaster forums have plenty of moderators, but all of them have vanished... I would think that Ubisoft would contact the forum moderators from time to time, just to make sure they're still around.

From what I understand, when you report a post, it goes to the forum moderators and administrators... it's not a public thing. That's why nobody knew about it until Ebutaljib made his decision. Had it been public, I think Ebutaljib would have received a lot of support.
