I see that there is no reason why online play for CMX and CMXI may be placed available on same server. Just there will be limited options available for older version or new depending on how you look at it. For Correspondance chess there is one server. So why not have the same for online play and watch that there will be plenty of online players

Yes that is true so cmx'rs will not have that option displayed and CMXI'rs will not have that option enabled or it would be void. and if 2opponents with same version play then options would still be there for their version.
Also the clan/league problem would be resolved if you have upgraded version then you have more variety. (some of us like cadilacs while some or content with basic /no thrill geos) This would be the way you look at it. The purpose is that there would be online live game play For instance for online game play personal avatar in CMXI is universal (just one shaded option),in CMX it is not.like in CCgame all you need is a game interface or Login account. Just now we have a live version for online play that require a game interface and depending on version the better the variety of interface is increased,unlike cc game on web you have 7 +/-2d boards and no game interface if you have not purchased a CMX(I) game version.(ex:+missing offline game tutorials and ranked play no LAN play)also competition list and player list windows are greyed out for CMXI not CMX, isthis an upgrade? makes more sense now does it not ? I thought we were in the 21'st century.

ubi want all cm 10 owners to buy the cm gm edition so that ubi get more money. if ubi connect cm10 with 11 then it will be loss for ubi as people won't by 11 and will be enjoying exactly the same features like correspondence chess, etc.

You mean Ubisoft's goal is to make money by selling new software that has newer/better features than the old version?
