Well, I've heard that a Mac version of Chessmaster is in the works... no ETA yet. As to something for iPhones or other handhelds, I have no idea...

i don't think iPhone accepts products riddled with bugs.

heh, i think overall chessmaster is a great product. but i am frustrated over certain issues, mostly because they're reocurring. i won't appologize for UBI, especially since they don't seem to put any effort into CM. my feelings aside, if someone doesn't have any CM products, then i definitly recommend it. Just being honest about how i feel and what i noticed.

I won't argue with you there, I love Chessmaster, and I'm frustrated by issues in it. However, if you're trying to say Mac/iPhone programs are better than PC programs, I would have to disagree...

the only product i like is iPod... i don't like working with Macs. Apple is an excellent company, but tailored to a different kind person... not me. as far as the topic that was started is concerned, jack: don't hold your breath. not many companies are going to pour resources into something like an iphone. the market isn't as great as one would think. And, take away the tutorials (because it's a phone after all), and chessmaster isn't really that special. only sales it's going to get is through reputation.. but that is slowly going down the drain. and in europe, most people would prefer a Fritz chess engine on their phone, or rybka.... if i had to bet, i would say fritz would do it first (out of the commercial engines)

There are several good engines for PocketPC... although I seldom use mine to play chess (as I seldom go anywhere without a laptop...
