As far as I can tell, this is similar to the "examine" function on ICC. You can replay a game after completion, but apparently you cannot enter alternate moves. Anyone have any thoughts on its use other than that?

Yes you can run the game analysis in both CM games as well as any other game online that supports PGN files.
