The answer to both your questions is "yes":

1. All you need to do is edit an existing personality (by selecting 'Set up Personality...' from the Game menu). Chessmaster will create a copy of that personality with your changes. For instance, if you edit the 'Kamsky' personality, it will put your changes into a personality named 'Kamsky #2'.

2. Create a 76 x 97, 24-bit bmp file of the picture you want, and give it the same name as the personality (i.e., for your 'Kamsky #2' personality, name the file 'Kamsky #2.bmp') and place the file in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition\Data\Personalities
