Hi! I'm a newbie.
Said that Hammer I need some help: with Fritz there was an option "explain every move".
Now does Chessmaster 11 have this option too?

TIA

When in Training mode, you can use Natural Language Advice (you'll find it in the Mentor menu under Advice)... I'm not sure if that's exactly like Fritz, but I think it's what you want.

why the HELL did you buy both chessmaster and fritz if your not even gonna know how to move the chess pieces?!

I think that's waste of MONEY! Purely because you might not like chess your still a learner, therfore its a bit risky wasting money for something that you're not sure whether you will like it or not.
Victim of a consumer society, perhaps?

Relax, it's not as if he spent YOUR money! Smile

There's no need to be rude. He's just comparing features of Chessmaster vs. Fritz -- that's something that most of us have done at some point in time...

Just an advice: I bough it new for 20€ (wrong gift, real deal!) and believe me, it's not a waste of money Cool
Said this, I repeat I consider myself still a newbie and this is the reason why I bought Chessmaster OnlyforMastersEdition bow
My impresssion is that Chessmaster could be a great teacher. You know, work is consuming quite all my time so I have to rely upon a program.
But I'm training a bit a day. Who knows, maybe one day I'll begin to study chess, not just play it like an hobby.

Meanwhile, Smash ahem... Fritz is not my favourite trainer... and I tried an old version just to look at it. It's for seriuos players.

OK, I'll try it but I still prefer to have the movies (openings, blunders, etc) explained.
After the "brief" explanation, if I need more analysis... but you know, CM is CM not Fritz.
