I have been trying for a couple days now to purchase CM 11 and when I get to the "checkout" point, the page just won't load. It reaches the secure login or whatever page and just stops. Very frustrating, I want to buy it and it won't let me!! Any advice??

First, what Operating System and browser are you using? Make sure that you have the latest updates for those installed.

Second, you'll need to temporarily turn off any pop-up blockers you have running.

Third, the problem could be that Internet Security and/or your firewall software is blocking the site... you may have to configure it to make the site trusted.

If all this still doesn't work, contact Ubisoft Technical Support... their U.S. phone number is (919) 460-9778.

I've turned off the pop up blocker but it still won't open. My operating system is XP and I'm using internet explorer. Whatever the problem is it seems to be unique to that particular page, I'm able to browse the internet fine elsewhere. Is there anywhere else you can recommend where I can download CM11?

Did you make sure that the site isn't being blocked by Internet Security?

Go to the Control Panel and select Internet Options. Select the Security tab, click on the 'Trusted Sites' icon, and then click the 'Sites' button. Add the page to the list of trusted sites. Then try the page again.

As far as other download sites, I can't think of any. Personally, I'd just get the physical DVD, it's the same price ($20 USD) at stores like Best Buy.

I had this problem once. There was one page that I just couldn't acces. After clearing the temporarly internet files I was able to access it.

hmmm, well I've managed to get through the checkout process and actually purchase CM11 from the ubi store, but now I've discovered that the internet where I am (on a ship at sea) is way too slow (and expensivea) to actually download a file that size... oops! It would, apparently, take anywhere from 8 to 18 hours for the file to download!!! Sooo, I have to wait til I can get to an internet cafe ashore with decent internet speed. My question then is, how long will my download be available to me and where??

You should be able to download your file anywhere, as long as you have your account information... you'll receive an e-mail which tells you how long you have to download the file, as well as your CD-Key and information on how to contact support.

Obviously, once you have the file downloaded, you should burn it to a DVD for safekeeping.

Some hints for downloading:

1. Don't use the Download Manager - in some cases, you'll have problems.
2. To extract the zip file, you must use WinZip version 12 or later... you can download a trial version at http://www.winzip.com.
