please don't misunderstand me. but i fail to see how that was the "only" logical thing that could have been done.. especially seeing how it was a very small percentage of users (maybe only 2 or 3) that thought so. (and what makes it worse, is that they were NEW users... not 'long-timers'... from what i could see).

for a second, let's put your integrity aside and let's assume the accusers were right. i didn't notice them say that your old posts were unhelpful, just your new ones. and if you think otherwise, i think they must have typed unclearly, and you misread it. So since your previous posts were helpful, you should have left them as is. But, they weren't right, so really you should have done nothing. I think your actions spoke louder than they're words. you should have left things alone.

Please don't mistaken the following as an attempt to puff up your ego or to beg you to come back, but i do hope to persuade you in some way...imagine a teacher/parent/politician or whoever being accused of being a bad teacher/parent.... and that others would be better off without them.. would it be fair to the rest if s/he simply quit and destroyed/sold or whatever everything they ever did(especially if it was a minority that thought so). if you read something like that somewhere, i'm sure you would wonder if the person's reaction wasn't a little extreme. well, everyone's wondering that about you... i'm sorry to say, but if anything you helped the other side with your actions. when you deleted everything, that's actually when you did become unhelpful.. not before. before it was just empty accusations with no substance.

You say you're waiting for it to thrive. well, it hasn't been thriving for a long time. though, admittedly, it was better when someone did know most of the answers. i think it was an unfair burden that you put on yourself to answer every single question. as a moderator, your job was to make sure things don't get out of hand. anyone could have answered questions. but, you went beyond the minimum, and devoted a lot of time. all those hours/days probably weeks of work are now gone.

Ebu, i doubt you would have quit if it was a troll coming around.. spaming. that wouldn't of stopped you, it hasn't before. can't you just, please, look at what happend as a differnt type of 'trolling'? i bet most would agree. maybe it was someone who's been trying to get you to quit for a long time....so that they can spam... i mean, those spamming messages did show up rather at a convenient time. maybe you were tricked. maybe it was a calculated attack on your personality.

Maybe it's impossible to give back what you took. maybe you don't have the time to reconstruct everything. maybe you don't ever want to be a moderator again. ok, fine. we understand. (although we hope you might do some or all of those things). but maybe you can be at least a little constructive? if you have a minute, and you know the answer.. maybe you can help.

it's taken me a long time to think about this and write this... i hope that means something. i don't think we need to do a poll to see if the community as a whole views you as helpful person or not... or do we?

no one has demonstrated they can do a better job than you did.(although KHollister is trying his best to help out... and wutang guy too) i think enough time has gone by. don't you?

I can't and don't want to participate constructively because everything I say seems to be wrong.


There are some decent people around here, but wuchang666 is definatelly not one of them. He showed his true colours recently (just before the forums were restored to the last sunday, thus deleting our posts)
