Yes, I just saw it in the newspaper this morning...

It is very sad, he was a brilliant player.

However, as much as he helped the popularity of chess, he also gave chess world a black eye, and his erratic behavior helped reinforce negative stereotypes of people who play chess.

Still, it is very sad news...

He died yesterday as a matter oh fact.

Ebutaljib's response is not meant as an insult. He is reprimanding an individual who, merely by the use of the pejorative term "Kikes", lends credence to the interpretation of his post as racist. The post clearly indicates that in order to hate Jews one does not have to suffer from a mental illness, ergo, he hates Jews even though he is completely sane. Also, note his user name: DasReich1933: the year that Adolph Hitler was named Chancellor of Germany, ushering in the reign of the Third Reich and marking the beginning of the end for the German Republic and the Jews it contained as well.

Unacceptable, in my humble opinion.

Like lewiej and Biker1985 explained everything points out that DasReich1933 is racist - his statement, the use of the term "kikes" and his nickname. Hell, he probably signed in just because of this and we wont see or hear anything from him here ever again. Which is good.

How can they not exist anymore and at the same time be available for download?! Your the only one who hosted it noone else so I would suspect that you have the links, can you post them here or in a new thread?

I will explain one more time and then I will ignore those kind of questions.

misimatt has its own site where he has his chess sets (it is still there and working). Same goes for Skess, Qix77 and c1arinetboy. So everyone of their sets is still available.

On the other hand, chess sets from Damezzi were hosted by me and are now unavailable.

Skin from Skess and mmcalpin are still available on their original sites while willy_297's skins are not available anymore (they were hosted by me).

c1arinetboy's tutorial are available, mine and Christian_XYZ's are not.

Additional personalities, updated opening books, 4 and 5 men tablebases, full manual and game sounds were all hosted by me and are not available.


All the addons come in separate files and must be installed one by one (each chess set, skin, etc.). That is why I compiled SP1 and SP2 (which contained everything that is mentioned above + official patch) so that everything could be installed with one click. They are not available anymore.

Get it now? I deleted MY work and the files that were hosted by me. Nothing more, nothing less.

Now give it a rest.



P.S.: Don't ask me to post the links to those sites. I refuse to do it.

Man, ebu, you really got an axe to grind, eh? let me ask, out of curiousity(sp?).. are the people that insulted you and made accusations around anymore? -i'm not even sure who they were. although i guess most of the chessmaster community here can be blamed for ingratitude for hard work done by many ppl..(like yourself, and ones you often mention in your posts). that's society though... but maybe the accusations was the straw that broke the camels back. i'm just wondering... are you gonna stick around to contribute in other ways? or are yah watching to see if this things falls apart and/or how long it takes for the forum to die off...?(sorry all for not sticking to the topic at hand)

I have been accused many things from being unhelpful and arrogant to being a dictator who scares away the new users and is preventing this forum to thrive. So the only logical thing was to step down as moderator (unlike many people beliefs - it was me who asked that my privileges have been removed - nobody take them from me by force) and to remove all my posts (since they were all so damn unhelpfull). And I also stopped to constructivelly contribute to this forum.

No, I'm not waiting that it falls apart (it won't happen), I'm waiting it to thrive now that the great dictator is gone. Unfortunatelly it doesn't seem to thrive. Most questions go unaswered, and the ones that get answered are answered only partially, sometimes the answer is even wrong.

Call it arrogance if you like, but it's a fact that I know this game and this forum inside out like noone else here.
