Does anybody know why I can't play a game online? When I go to accept a challenge or
join a game nothing happens. I don't get any error message. My internet connection works fine and I have opened the required ports on my router. My xbox 360 has no issues playing online. My pc easily meets the required specifications and the cd is in the disk drive.
I am able to enter the lobby and see my buddy fine but we cannot join a game together. As I said, when we try to accept the challenge nothing happens. Why is it impossible to get a simple game of chess to work properly. I have never had this much trouble playing a game online and it is extremely frustrating. Any suggestions?

Also, I played the computer last night and it made an illegal move by moving its pawn diagonally when there wasn't one of my pieces there to take. What's up with that?

I'm not sure about your problems with online play; however, it sounds like the move that CM made was an en passant capture...

what are you talking about KHollister? obviously chess is not your game...try playing the chesters

En Passant: the capture of a pawn as it makes a first move of two squares by an enemy pawn that threatens the first of these squares.

Thanks. I know the basic rules of chess but I am no expert. I wasn't aware of the en passant capture which might have been the move. However, doesn't that require that a piece is taken? When the computer made the move I don't think it took my pawn. Am I missing something?
Anyway, I was just throwing it out there. My real problem is not being able to join a game online. I've tried everything that's been suggested with no luck. It's driving me crazy.
