I encountered a problem when installing update 1.02.

The problem goes like this: Chessmater: Grandmaster Edition has not been totally updated because of the follwing reason: Cannot create the following file: C:\ Program Files\Ubisoft\Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition\Chessmaster?Grandmaster Edition Manual.$$A

You will have to run this utility again to completely update Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition.

So I ran the update again, it didn't work.
I previously had no problem when installing update 1.01.

What could be the problem?

You're using a non-English version of Windows, aren't you?

There are some issues with non-unicode characters, etc. if you're using a non-English version of Windows. Please read the Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition FAQ... it has some hints at updating Chessmaster in cases like these.

Great. It worked after I had the OS language changed to English.
