right i got to rank 2436 in ranked single player then i played 1 game of chess and won, but it sayd, congratilation, you dominated you gained 133 rank and i went up to 1369 WTF, yea i got pissed after i played this game for 3 hours to get up to 2436 from 900 i am now back to that.... all i want to do is play the grandmasters as they are the only ones that are fun to play and now i cant, is there any kind of console comand,patch or download that will let me just play them, i dont care about rank i just want to play grandmasters and not waste another 2 hours of my like ranking up playing dumb AI

Your rating of 2436 will have been a bug as I don't think anyone's got a legitimate rating above 1700 as of now (I may be wrong). After a few games, the game will have "realised" that the rating was wrong and given you the correct rating.

This has already been documented in a post by CrUeL_KNIGHTS.

perhaps but i played oponents with rating of over 2400 and i won all the time, i had 10 wins-0 losses 4 of those wins were against oponents of over 2400 rating in single player, so i dont get it.... if winning against someone that is 400 higher then me doesnt net me 100-200 rating then i dont know what makes sence anymore...

In which case I comment you for your talent. Sadly I've never beaten a personality over 1500

I'm not sure if tournaments affect your rating but if you go to play and then tournaments you could play against the "Masters" there. (I'm not sure if it's still called "Masters" as I've only got CMX).

In there you can play against people of very high ratings and hopefully boost yours at the same time so you can play others in the ranked games later on.

Thats what Training mode is for. Besides if you played more than 20 rated games then you can play against anybody. +-400 rating difference only applies while still provisional (under 20 games).

Sorry, I got the wrong end of the stick. I assumed menacingbozza wanted to play the top rated personalities while still being ranked.

And unless menacingbozza's rank was correct at 2436 then dropped to 1369 when still saying he went up (!?!) I think that the erroneous rank bug now applies to both online and offline play.

Time to submit a bug report to UBI?

i got a draw.. in the end we each had 4 pawns left, 1 horse, and a king(obviosly, i started off with this aparently...King's Indian Attack / Barcza Opening

i couldnt see any way of wining without losing, so i had to settle for a draw..
