Topalov wins the last game, not only to clich the tournament but also to move to the number 1 spot on the live rating list. As there are no more tournaments before the deadline, this live rating list will become official on 1st of October. Topalov is the number 1 again.
If we look at the final standings (using Bilbao scoring system) and compare it with the standard scoring system, we see that only Ivanchuk and Carlsen switch their places. There were not any less draws than usual either. So I think there is no need to change the standard scoring system.
Yesterday the wrong standings were displayed on the official site. After the official tie-breaks criteria (read the regulations on oficial site), Carlsen is ahead of Aronian.
