You should have received an e-mail containing the CD-Key (it starts with CMXI).

If you didn't get an e-mail, you'll need to contact Ubisoft Technical Support.

In regards to error 1308.

To fix the problem goto wherever you extracted the setup files to and then goto

...\support\manual

Right click the "Chessmaster<< Grandmaster Edition Manual" and select properties.

Copy this: Chessmaster® Grandmaster Edition Manual

and paste it into the file name box under the General Tab in the properties of the pdf.

Click retry and you are off to the races.
