I installed CM 11 via a download - it is version 1.02. In the annotation window the board positions are garbaged up, as are the figurine notations in the move window. I assume I'm missing a font... There are no cm... or chessmaster... fonts in either Windows\fonts or in Chessmaster\data folders. How do I get the font to make the notation work? This problem occurs on both Vista and XP, by the way.
Thanks in advance! Jeff Fitzgerald |

Under Windows Vista changing the "system locale" to US English did the trick for me.
Go to: "Start--Control Panel--Clock, Language and Region--Change keyboard or other input methods--Administrative--Change system locale" and select English - United States. I don't know where this setting is in Windows XP. |

I have this same problem, and I also installed the game via download.
I'm on Vista (32-bit), and I tried the workaround ebutaljib posted, but it doesn't resolve it for me. My locale was already set to "English - United States". Any other ideas? Can someone who's notation looks ok search around their folders for something that looks like a chessmaster font? |
