I have started creating my own music not to long ago. What inspired me to make the kind of music I do was might and magic 6 and heroes of might and magic 2. I am looking for some reviews and some advice. In addition, some ratings. I have a couple songs posted on my site.

I'll listen and comment as soon as the internet connections becomes stable enough here, that means when the strike has ended, howevere that can take weeks or even months so... first time in a week or so i've been able to get a connection

Strike? Internet strike in the faraoese? THAT'S why this place has been so quiet. Sheesh. Crazy faraoeses...

Not only internet strike... the entire companies workers are striking demanding to be bether paied, so there are background noises and what do I know on the phones

A scale from 1 to 10, and i'll not take the sudden ends into consideration since I guess they aren't final from the demo name

Overall it would sound better if the singers didn't sound so much as some PC program singers, guess that is what they are.

5, I personally think you are having a great beginning, but after some time it gets boring and to the brinch of annoying that the notes all the time go >. >. >. I've forgotten the names of the signs, but I guess you know that I mean hard and fade away with a sudden end... To much of that and to repetitiv in the end.

Forever Lost
9, the only thing that makes it go down to a nine is that it needs that last magical touch... the one that it's impossible to catch by meaning to catch it and impossible to define so mostly as good as it can be.

(beginning 8) overall 8/9. It must be noted that I'm a base player, so I would like it if there was a bit deeper and more room in the base voices... else 50 sec is a bit to little to really get an opinion of the music...
I'll check out the first ones now.

The Dramatic War:

Beginning 6. It's a bit to week. After the beginning it gets on to 8, but again it's to short to really get a hang of the music, but it could sound like you later should watch out for reepetitivness.

A Hope to Survive
This is so short that it mostly just is a beginning... but it sounds like it could get close to a 10 but with a 9 beginning

The Stronghold Battle
Again I find the base voices to week at the beginning, but just a touch, and I must again remind you that i'm a tuba player, so it is very possible that it's only me... else the short piece I heard is about 8, and to short to really get an opinion of...

Really great music!

For just normal music it scores a big 9, but if you had put it into a PC game whit the right atmosphere it would score a big 10!

Stronghold:

You use too much reverb, allso the drums can be higher in volume.... Else a nice song...

don't know what Reverb means... I'm only accustomed to the horn terms and they are mostly in Itlian

To be honest, although I have been making music for quite some time, I am stil la rookie at this. I cannot read music, not do I have any music background. Basically when I create a song, it comes straight from emotion. As for reverb, I agree, I do use a lot of reverb, and it seems to cancel out a lot of instruments. In addition, it also limits the max loudness to lower rates. However, still learning as I go... I appreciate the feedback.

In addition, this is the new song I am currently working on for my new soundtrack. It is a demo right now because I haven't completed it.

Why do they all stop

Tara's theme, finally listened to it, is great, but the passing from each voice, tona, to the next should be a bit less sudden and more floating.

Bailor's theme, the only thing that I can think of is that the waves should sound a bit less mechanical and in real life there is a bit more time passing from each wave to the next, but I don't know if that will make the melody better.

Unfortuneatly, all of these songs, despite Forever Lost are all demos. The reason why I am only placing the demos is due to bandwith and space limitations on my website. I am planning on geting a new host, and then I will post the full versions to most of my songs. In all I have about 2 and a half hours worth of music. Once I get my new site, I will also place a couple dvd quality versons to my songs. As in comparisson. Cd quality is 44000 hz 16 bit. DVD quality is 96000 hz 24 bit. MP3 is a far degrade from even cd quality.

I still haven't shifted my website to a new host. However, here is the extended demo to my second soundtrack's main song, "The Lost Fable." It is currently 4 minutes long, but there is still much work to do. In all, the song will be around 10-15 minutes long.
